Active in CSCW. Knowledge Management, Community Systems, Interaction Design, in April 2008 Giorgio De Michelis has created a start up, itsme, with the aim to create a new Linux front end for work-stations, going beyond the desktop metaphor and helping users to contextualize their actions and interactions. A prototype will be ready during 2012.

In October 2011 MIT Press published 'Design Things', whose he is coauthor, together with Thomas Binder, Pelle Ehn, Giulio Jacucci, Per Linde and Ina Wagner, under the pseudonym of A. Telier.
